Getting ready for Christmas #2: Glitter overload!

For day 2 of my Getting ready for Christmas challenge, I decided to go all out and make a mish mash manicure featuring a couple of glitter polishes :) The manicure itself doesn’t look really Christmas-y, I know, but to compensate that, I arranged a Christmas-looking background XD Anyway, glitters are always festive, no matter how you style them, right? :P So, the nail polishes I used are the following: NYC ‘Pink princess‘, Essie ‘Luxedo‘, Pupa ‘800‘, H&M ‘Flamingo pink‘ and Essence ‘Make it golden‘. And now….it’s your turn! Show me you glittah!!!! _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Per il secondo giorno della challenge ho deciso di creare una manicure un po’ particolare, mixando…

H&M ‘Did I tell you?’ & Rimmel ‘Aye, aye, sailor’

[ENG] The other nail polish that I picked up last time I went to H&M was ‘Did I tell you?‘, made up of different sized blue glitters suspended in a clear base. It just screamed my name, I couldn’t leave it there! :DThere’s not much to say about this nail polish, it’s super pretty, and again, the new brush makes the application way easier. I layered it on top of a very dark navy blue base (Rimmel‘s ‘Aye, aye, sailor‘), and I think it looks absolutely beautiful. I’m quite satisfied with both my purchases, well done H&M! H&M "Wintersky"

[ENG] After seeing this post, I knew I had to get this nail polish. It’s been a while since I’ve bought my last nail polish, I simply can’t find something that is worth spending money on, but when I found myself in front of H&M‘s nail polishes today, I couldn’t help myself, and I got not one, but two new bottles! ‘Wintersky” is a silver-based nail polish, that turns green and pink depending on the lighting. And yes, the multichrome effect is quite strong on the nails as well, not only in the bottle! I’m so sorry that I couldn’t capture the awesomeness of this polish with these pictures tonight,…

Cheetah print using the H&M nail art pen

I have tried something new, and I liked it! :D I’m talking about the H&M 2 way nail art pen, which has a sort of pen on one side (actually it looks like a very thin pipe through which comes out the nail polish) and a brush on the other. The price of this nail art thing-y is 3,95€, not too bad. This was my second attempt using it, and I must say that it’s perfect for this kind of nail art, whereas it’s not very recommended for straight lines, because you haven’t got very much control over the flow of nail polish that comes out of the pen. Anyway, I…

    Mix and match manicure!

If you’ve been following my blog for a while you’ll probably know that I’m not very creative with my manicures…but I sometimes get inspired to add that little extra to a plain look, and somehow it usually turns out quite fun :) Anyway, yesterday (which was sunday) I’ve spend the whole day at home, and I was sooo bored that after a while I decided to pimp my plain nude nails (I had my beloved “Flying higher” by Essence on) just a little bit. So I added some cute black dots on my ring-finger and my thumb.  Se mi seguite da un po’ di tempo sicuramente vi sarete rese conto…

    H&M "Blue my mind"

The other day I found this blog post about Nails Inc. “Baker Street“, and I fell completely in love. So, my first thought was “is there any dupe out there?”. Well, there is, but I couldn’t get my hands on it yesterday so I found a very good replacement thanks to Roberta from Smaltoitaliano: H&M‘s “Blue my mind“. What can I say? This is a stunning blue! Sadly my pictures don’t do him justice, because the colour is so vibrant that my camera didn’t pick it up. You have to imagine this kind of blue but with a touch of purple…it’s kind of a vibrant blurple :D Actually, it looks pretty…
